World Compass does not collect, store or sell personal data. We have no servers, accounts, ads, analytics or tracking tools.
Location
Your location is used only to work out the direction and distance to the place you search for. It stays on your device. To show your city's name, the app asks Apple's map service using your position rounded to about 10 km. To show the local time at your destination, it sends Apple only the destination's coordinates.
If you don't allow location, the compass still works; it just can't point to destinations.
Search
The text you type is sent to Apple's map service to find the place. We don't keep your searches.
Saved places, recents and widget
They stay on your device only and are deleted if you delete the app. The widget uses the last destination you chose and your position rounded to about 100 m, stored on your iPhone.
Purchases
They are processed by Apple. We never receive any payment data.
Sharing
The share card contains only the place's name, never your address or coordinates. You choose who to share it with.
Children
The app collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
